Malibu: El Matador State Beach

If you ever been to Malibu, you cannot miss the most famous El Matador State Beach. Unlike other beaches such as Santa Monica Pier or Venice, this beach is not as big, but definitely has its own uniqueness.

Parking: Small parking lot with fee range from $3.00 to $9.00
Following the map, you will see the big El Matador Beach sign that leads you down to a small parking lot. When we arrived, the parking lot was all full, so we ended up parking along the curb.
One of the special views that can be found only at El Matador Beach is its natural rocks and stones on the beach. If you are into photography, this is the perfect place to shoot some cinematic photos. In addition, this place is also very popular for wedding photos.
Tip 1: Make sure to check the weather before you go as this place can get super windy.
Tip 2: Make sure to bring lens cleaner if you are shooting with your DSLR or mirrorless camera as the lenses can get dusty with moist at the beach.
With some photo editing apps, you can create some amazing scenery photos for your Facebook and Instagram that no one will ever thought they are taken from California!
Overall, I think this place is not only perfect for photography, but it is also a great place to hang out with family and friends. I highly recommend spending an afternoon at the beach and enjoy the sunset!
